What happens during class?

Every workout incorporates a warm up and pre & post-workout stretching. Our trainers will guide you through strength and/or cardio exercises with an emphasis on proper form and alignment. 

What do I need to bring to class?

The only thing you need to bring is a bottle of water. We provide all exercise equipment, exercise mats and workout towels. If you prefer to use your own mat and towel, you are welcome to bring them with you.

What if I can't do all the exercises in class?

One of the best things about our workouts are that they can be adapted to any fitness level. We welcome all sizes & abilities and our trainers offer modifications for members in any condition. We encourage our members to go at their own pace and have fun.

What kind of "bootcamp" is AAY?

We are NOT a military-style boot camp with drill sergeants who yell at you and push you beyond your physical limits.  Our trainers are supportive & approachable. We will challenge you at your current fitness level so that you can make steady, sustainable progress toward your fitness goals without risking injury. 

What type of people go to AAY?

Everyone! We have college students trying to stay in shape after high school, athletes trying to improve their performance for a competition, members in their 40s who need a little push with their fitness and wellness, and those in their 60s & beyond who want to live a long and healthy life.

How is AAY! different from other programs?

AAY! is an all-inclusive fitness program that incorporates all aspects of fitness (strength training, cardiovascular exercises, flexibility and mind-body training). No supplemental gym memberships are necessary.

Can I join anytime?

Yes.  AAY! is an ongoing program, so you don’t need to wait for a specific start date. The best time to start is NOW.

Is there an age limit to join?

You must be at least 13 years old to join. Minors aged 13-17 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. There is no upper age limit; however, we may need a physician’s clearance if you have certain medical conditions. 

Can I participate if I'm pregnant?

We have had a number of women participate in our classes throughout their pregnancies, and we offer a variety of modifications and exercise guidelines. Please check with your doctor to make sure you are cleared for exercise, and communicate your needs with our team.

Do you have showers?

No. However, we do have really nice, large men's & women's restrooms with multiple stalls & sinks. 

Do you provide childcare?

No. Unfortunately, we don't.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes. It’s important for us to know who’s in class with us and to have all of your contact information. You can create an account online.

Our workouts take place in a large indoor fitness complex in the Atwater/Glendale Area. 

Do you provide parking?

Yes! We offer plenty of designated parking directly in front of our location at the Elevate Fitness Complex.
